Lake Kawaguchi is a lake near the foot of Mount Fuji, which is located at the Yamanashi Prefecture. It is the most popular and easily accessible of the Five Lakes. The other four lakes are Yamanaka, Sai, Shoji and Motosu. The lakes were formed due to the previous eruption of Mount Fuji.
From Tokyo we took the Chuo Highway bus from Shinjuku terminal to Fujiyoshida and Kawaguchi.

Lake Kawaguchi Mount Tenjo Ropeway.
Mount Tenjo Ropeway is a Japanese aerial lift that climbs Mount Tenjo from the shores of Lake Kawaguchi. The observatory has a view of the lake, as well as Aokigahara forest, and Mount Fuji. Although, we missed the chance to view the Mt Fuji, as it was foggy in the surrounding area.
