Fried Catfish

We were doing our usual grocery rounds and saw a pack of fresh catfish fillets. And so we thought, it has been a while since we last ate those and decided to buy. I was thinking of cooking it with curry but then I forgot to buy some coconut milk for the main ingredients and so I ended up frying them instead. And I was quite happy with the outcome. Hubby loved it!

Ingredients:

1.8 lbs. fillets farm-raised catfish

1 tsp. Salt

½ tsp. Ground pepper

1 tsp. Garlic powder

½ tsp. Chili powder

¼ cup All-purpose flour

Vegetable Oil

Method:

Fried Catfish Method

1.     Clean and pat dry the fillets.

2.     Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder, coating evenly.

3.     Dredge fillets in All-purpose flour.

4.     Put 1 inch oil into a preheated pan over medium heat. Fry fish in batches for 7-8 minutes or until golden brown.

3-4 Servings
